15 Minute Buffalo Chicken Dip (Keto, Low-Carb)

Chicken dip is great – except, it usually requires a lot of prep work and a lot of waiting around. Not anymore! Enjoy this dip for a quick lunch, easy snack, or even an easy dinner. Another perk to this recipe: everyone in the family will love it. And since it’s so versatile, you can eat it alone, on a taco, with chips, with celery, or even alongside a salad!

This chicken dip takes 15 minutes to make thanks to some ingredients and tools which shorten the cooking process. By using canned chicken, we save ourselves the time of cooking a chicken, or breaking down leftover chicken, which is always a chore. We also employ the use of an air fryer – which heats up faster as well as cooks food faster! Using such a gadget allows us to skip the long preheat times of a large oven, especially for a small dish!

Do You Need an Air Fryer Oven?

An air fryer oven is not required, but it speeds up the process! Their smaller footprint and ability to heat up quickly means that we don’t need to preheat it. You can use a conventional oven, but will have to let it preheat. If your oven has a convection setting, that will also help speed up the process. Honestly, you could probably use a microwave to make the dip, since everything is cooked. However, I like my food to get a nice crisp to them, which I find I never get with a microwave… plus, I don’t own a microwave… so there’s that.

However, if you don’t have an air fryer and are looking to purchase one, I’ve been using the Instapot Vortex Plus oven for some time now and really like it’s features!

Can I Use a Different Buffalo Sauce?

Although this recipe calls for Frank’s Red Hot Buffalo sauce, you can use any buffalo sauce you’d like! You can even use my very own buffalo sauce recipe! The nice thing about a prepackaged sauce is that it’s shelf stable and 0 calories (since they use butter flavoring instead of actual butter). However, you can use whatever hot sauce you’d like if you’re not a fan of Frank’s/

Notes

  • *A regular oven can be used to make this chicken dip as well, it will simply take longer to cook as it will need to preheat.
  • You can add blue cheese in place of the ranch powder, just keep in mind that it will increase the caloric load.
  • You can add as much cheese on top as you like.
  • You can multiply this recipe to create a larger serving size
